About me…

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my website. Please allow me to introduce myself:

I wrote a dissertation on the innovation strategies of family-owned small businesses at the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, and currently work as a research associate at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano

My topical research centers on innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability issues in the context of family businesses, new ventures, and otherwise privately-held SMEs. I also regularly and increasingly engage in metascience work – research on research – in which I study scientific norms and practices in my own and related fields, with a particular attention for the causes and consequences of researchers’ biases.

Next to doing research, I enjoy teaching young people, reading, history, hiking, music, sarcasm, and most of all riding my bicycle up and down the beautiful mountains surrounding my current home.

Please feel invited to contact me in case you are interested in any of my activities, have a research idea that might be worth exploring together, or simply want to join for a bike ride 🙂
